Philadelphia partner Neil Haimm will serve as co-chair World Law Group’s newly created Healthcare & Life Sciences industry group.
Founded in 1988, the WLG is one of the first global law firm networks, comprising 50 member firms from six continents. Its current roster of 13 industry practice groups expands to 15 with the addition of the Healthcare & Life Sciences and Infrastructure & Public-Private Partnerships groups. These practice groups bring together lawyers from different areas to share information on international trends and local developments in their fields, broadening their international networks and strengthening peer relationships for the benefit of their respective clients.
The Healthcare & Life Sciences Group brings together lawyers from the WLG’s 50 independent member firms worldwide that advise local and multinational clients in these sectors. The practice group will include lawyers who advise on health law and public policy, and provide regulatory and compliance advice to public and private health care providers and long-term care facilities, as well as those specializing in the protection of intellectual property for pharmaceutical, medical device and biotech companies. Group members also participate in a range of transactions in the health care and life sciences sectors, including mergers and acquisitions, restructurings, joint ventures, research and development agreements, and related antitrust matters.
Neil, a partner in the Corporate and Securities Practice Group, focuses his practice primarily on acquisitions and divestitures, joint ventures and other strategic transactions, and venture capital and private equity investments, including the representation of clients in the pharmaceutical and health care services industries.
