Michael Daly Named 2010 Lawyer on the Fast Track
The Legal Intelligencer has named Philadelphia partner Michael Daly as one of its "Lawyers on the Fast Track" for 2010. This honor recognizes Pennsylvania lawyers under 40 years old who “have worked tirelessly in their professional, personal and civic lives to improve the legal landscape and the future of others.” These “future leaders of the state’s legal community” were selected by a panel of practitioners, state and federal judges, in-house counsel and legal recruiters.
The Legal recognized Michael for his work with the Communications Litigation Practice Group and his service to the firm, including the presentation of a firmwide training module on motions to dismiss and persuasive writing for incoming litigation associates. It also recognized his pro bono work and civic service. Michael has served as court-appointed counsel in a number of civil rights cases, and his work on behalf of those clients has protected the rights of inmates and remedied racial discrimination and harassment by local law enforcement officials. He also served a member of the American Red Cross Legal Initiative Advisory Group, for which he coordinated firm blood drives as part of citywide campaign to increase law firm blood donations. His efforts helped Drinker Biddle win an award for most improved blood drive in 2009.
Michael and the other Lawyers on the Fast Track for 2010 are profiled in a September 28, 2010, special supplement to the Legal Intelligencer and the Pennsylvania Law Weekly, and will be honored at the annual Fast Track Dinner on October 28, 2010, at the Union League in Philadelphia.
