Associate

Monica A. Novak is an associate in the firm's Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation Practice Group. Monica's practice focuses on a range of employee benefits matters, including health and welfare benefits, tax-qualified retirement plans and nonqualified plans. She routinely counsels clients regarding the design, implementation and administration of benefit plans to ensure consistency with plan terms and compliance with the Internal Revenue Code and ERISA requirements, as well as the requirements under Health Care Reform.

In General. Monica earned her J.D. from Harvard Law School in 2008, where she was a member of the Journal of Law & Gender. She received her M.Ed. from National-Louis University-Chicago in 2003 and her bachelor's degree, magna cum laude, in women's and gender studies from Knox College in 1999.
