Associate
Mark G. Maser is an associate in the firm's Environmental Practice Group, where he concentrates his practice in the areas of environmental litigation and compliance counseling.
Mark joined Drinker Biddle from Saul Ewing, LLP, where he was an associate in the firm's Environmental Department. Prior to practicing law, Mark was first the manager of Environment, Health, & Safety Audits at Consolidated Edison Co., of New York and then the Corporate Environmental Response team manager for the company. He was also an Oil Spill & Hazardous Material Release Contingency Planning and Response consultant, working with a number of companies to develop and implement strategies to minimize environmental impact during oil spills and other hazardous material releases. He served as the U.S. Coast Guard Liaison Officer to the 9/11 World Trade Center Incident Command Staff, and as the New Orleans Area Field Office Planning Section Chief after the Coast Guard was placed in charge of the Hurricane Katrina Response & Recovery Operation.
Mark defends and counsels clients on OSHA enforcement matters. He assists clients in preparing for OSHA inspections, conducting health and safety audits, designing and implementing OSHA compliance programs, training employees and contractors at multi-employer work sites, and developing standard operating procedures for compliance with various OSHA standards.
In General. Mark graduated from the United States Coast Guard Academy in 1985, following which he served in the Coast Guard and achieved the rank of Commander. He earned his master's degree,
summa cum laude, in environmental protection & safety management in 1998 from Saint Joseph's University, and his J.D.,
cum laude, in 2003 from Seton Hall University.
Mark is admitted to practice in New Jersey and New York.
