Lisa Sher is a partner in the firm’s Real Estate Practice Group.
Areas of Concentration. Lisa’s practice is concentrated in the representation of retailers, developers, investors and lenders in transactional work such as leases, acquisitions and dispositions, financings and the creation of planned communities and condominiums.
A significant portion of Lisa's leasing practice includes the representation of national retailers in the negotiation of retail store leases in lifestyle centers, shopping malls and stand alone sites across the country, ranging from a lease for a flagship store in mid-town Manhattan to a lease in a key lifestyle center in Orange County, California for a publicly traded retailer. Lisa also represents a private equity fund in negotiating leases for industrial space throughout the United States. Lisa’s experience in representing both landlords and tenants allows her to understand and creatively resolve the issues facing both parties in a lease negotiation.
Lisa's finance practice includes the representation of lenders and borrowers in the negotiation of construction and permanent loans, and lines of credit secured by real estate assets, as well as deeds in lieu of foreclosure and loan workouts. Lisa also regularly represents Lenders and Borrowers in syndicated loans and portfolio financings.
In General. Lisa received her bachelor's degree,
cum laude, from New York University and earned her law degree from Villanova University School of Law.
Professional Memberships and Associations. Lisa is a member of the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and American Bar Associations, the International Council of Shopping Centers, and the Urban Land Institute. Lisa has been selected as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer Rising Star in the area of real estate for several years, including 2012.
