James M. Fischer is a partner in the firm's Corporate & Securities Practice Group. Jim represents both public and private clients in various industries including insurance, financial, medical, chemical, pharmaceutical and nutraceutical, and general manufacturing. Jim focuses his practices on mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, entrepreneurial matters, venture capital financings, secured and unsecured financing/lending transactions, corporate restructurings and general corporate matters. Jim also focuses his practice on advising both individual and institutional clients in a variety of matters relating to investments in, and transactions with, domestic and foreign proprietary and high frequency trading firms and incubators, including in connection with the formation and operation of Trading Cross Connects and its affiliate Bay Head CI US LLC. Jim's practice also includes counseling clients through majority and minority shareholder disputes.

In General. Jim graduated Phi Beta Kappa and
summa cum laude from The Catholic University of America in 1998 with a bachelor's degree in world politics and a minor in American history. He received his J.D.,
magna cum laude, from Seton Hall University School of Law in 2001, where he was student notes editor for the
Seton Hall Legislative Journal and research assistant to Associate Clinical Professor Virginia Hardwick in the Seton Hall Center for Social Justice.
In addition to the practice of law, Jim serves as a member of the board of directors of Trading Cross Connects US LLC and Trading Cross Connects Holdings Limited, providers of services to high frequency trading teams, and previously served as the chairman of the board of trustees of the American Herbal Products Association, a position to which he was elected on behalf of a client in the nutraceutical industry.
Prior to practicing law, Jim interned for the Hon. Marge Roukema, member of the U.S. House of Representatives and the Hon. Dr. Keith Hampson, member of the United Kingdom House of Commons.

Jim is admitted to the New Jersey State Bar, the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey and the New York State Bar, and is a member of the American Bar Association, the New Jersey State Bar Association, the Corporate & Business Law Section of the New Jersey State Bar, the New York State Bar and the Business Law Section of the New York State Bar.
