John Hockenbury is a partner in the firm’s Insurance Practice Group and a managing partner of the firm. His practice focuses on directors’ and officers’ liability insurance and other professional liability insurance issues.

Professional Liability Insurance.  John has more than a decade of experience in claims monitoring, coverage litigation and product development in the professional liability area.  He also has experience handling employment practice liability and miscellaneous errors and omissions policy claims, as related to managed care.  John also assists clients in drafting specialized policies and endorsements.

In General.  John is a member of the American Bar Association, the District of Columbia Bar Association and the Maryland Bar Association.  He is also a member of the Professional Liability Underwriting Society. He writes and lectures frequently on topics relating to professional liability insurance issues.  John received his bachelor's degree from Moravian College and his J.D., cum laude, from George Washington University Law Center in 1986.
