John Ferman is an associate in the Commercial Litigation Practice Group of the Washington, D.C. office.

John has litigated various issues in federal and state courts at the trial and appellate levels, including contract disputes, business torts, fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, consumer protection statutes, negligence, real estate ownership, land use, restrictive covenants, employment discrimination, the False Claims Act, and intellectual property disputes (involving patents, trademarks, and copyrights).

John is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia and the District of Columbia and regularly litigates in those jurisdictions. He has also litigated and made appearances in federal courts in Pennsylvania and Texas and the Trademark Trial and Appeals Board.

John is a former law clerk to the Hon. Joan Zeldon, Presiding Judge of the Civil Division of the District of Columbia Superior Court. He speaks fluent Swedish.
