Former Representative Dr. J. Phillip Gingrey, a senior advisor with the District Policy Group at Drinker Biddle, wrote an op-Ed for The Hill titled, “The Problematic Breast Cancer Screening Recommendations.”

Dr. Gingrey discussed the U.S. Preventative Services Task Force (USPSTF) latest draft recommendations for mammography breast cancer screenings. In the article, Dr. Gingrey outlined why the recommendations are problematic and why erring on the side of early detection until there is sufficient data and consensus to support USPSTF recommendations is beneficial.
