The article explains that campus climate surveys are becoming more widely used by universities as a tool to prevent sexual assault on campus. The White House Task Force to Protect Students from Sexual Assault, the Department of Education, and Congress have all urged schools to conduct surveys.

Although not yet legally required, Scott and Rachel explain why colleges should pay attention to the federal government’s loud support of campus climate surveys.
