Philippe Lebel, Labor & Employment associate in the Los Angeles and San Francisco offices, was recently interviewed by Business Insurance about the effect of the decriminalization of marijuana in certain jurisdictions on private employers.

Phil told the publication that even though legalized for recreational use in Colorado and Washington, and legal for medical use in many more, decriminalization “doesn't necessarily affect employers and risk managers.” He later added that “employers are still completely privileged to prohibit their workers from using marijuana on duty.”
