Washington, D.C. Government Relations Director Jeremy Scott, a member of the Government & Regulatory Affairs practice group, authored, “ARN Board Takes Advocacy to Capitol Hill,” published in the June 2013/July 2013 issue of ARN Network.

The article described a trip to Capitol Hill on April 18, 2013 made by the ARN Board of Directors and Health Policy Committee chair to advocate for the funding of federal nursing and traumatic brain injury (TBI) programming in fiscal year 2014.  It noted how, given the economic challenges facing the entire nation, funding requests remained identical to those made for fiscal year 2013.  The article also encouraged readers to become politically engaged and actively advocate to their own Members of Congress on behalf of their health policy goals.
