Washington, D.C. Government Relations Director Jeremy Scott, a member of the Government & Regulatory Affairs practice group, authored, “Uncertainty as Sequestration Takes Effect,” published in the April 2013/May 2013 issue of ARN Network.

The article explained the federal agency spending cuts known as sequestration, stating the reasons why sequestration was considered the only viable option to reduce the deficit, as well as a grim prediction that suggested the cuts will last through the end of fiscal year 2013.  It also indicated the likelihood of significant cuts in healthcare funding, noting Title VIII Nursing Workforce Development Programs, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and the National Institutes of Health as key targets.
