Philadelphia of counsel Bill Clark received the 2017 Pennsylvania Bar Association Special Achievement Award during the association’s Annual Meeting in Pittsburgh on May 12, 2017.

Bill was honored for his dedication and commitment to the PBA Business Law Section Title 15 Committee and for his leadership in drafting provisions of Title 15, the short title for the Pennsylvania code of business entity laws.

Bill has served for a number of years as the draftsman for the Title 15/Business Associations Committee of the Pennsylvania Bar Association. In that capacity he was the author of the 1988 Pennsylvania Business Corporation Law and, more recently, the new Pennsylvania Uniform Limited Partnership Act, the Pennsylvania Uniform Limited Liability Company Act and other provisions of Title 15.

He also drafted the 1990 legislation that made insurance corporations subject to the 1988 BCL and recodified the law on credit unions.
