Washington, D.C., partner and co-chair of the IP group Bob Stoll was featured in a recent IP Watchdog article titled, “Patent and IP Wishes for 2017.” In the article, Bob and other industry experts were asked to make patent and/or intellectual property relates wishes for the New Year.

Bob’s first wish is for President-elect Donald Trump to appoint a Director of the USPTO that is ready and able to lead the Office to new highs and reinvigorate “culture change” to get examiners, supervisors, applicants, unions and the public “pulling together to support early issuance of quality patents.” Bob also says he wishes the United States Supreme Court to recognize that their decisions on patent subject matter eligibility are providing little guidance and harming innovation.
