Health Care Practice Group chair and partner Doug Swill was quoted in a Chicago Tribune article titled, “Illinois hospitals warily watching politics, court rulings in 2017.” The article examines topics that could affect Chicago hospitals and their patients in 2017.

In the article, Doug asserted that the rise in hospital mergers began before the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and that it will likely continue even if it’s dismantled. He also noted that the ACA resulted in an increase in consolidation. “The area is still probably going to see a few more affiliations,” he said.
