Philadelphia partners Meredith Slawe and Elizabeth Diffley were selected by The Legal Intelligencer as two of its 2016 “Top Women in Law.”

The Legal Intelligencer’s “Top Women in Law” honors the “outstanding work being done by female attorneys across Pennsylvania who have had notable achievements in the last two years.” The attorneys recognized in this year’s listing were recommended by the legal community and The Legal Intelligencer’s staff. The honorees are leaders in the legal industry and advocates for the advancement of women in the profession.

Meredith has a broad litigation practice with an emphasis on consumer class actions, business disputes and internal investigations. She routinely defends companies in putative class actions brought under consumer protection statutes in jurisdictions across the country. Meredith defends companies against false and deceptive marketing, advertising and pricing allegations, and privacy-based claims, and has particular experience in the retail industry. Meredith is a leader in the firm’s Retail Industry Group and represents a number of leading retailers in their class action matters and counsels them on related compliance issues, including the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA).

Beth represents public and private clients in a variety of corporate and securities matters. These include corporate governance, public and private capital raising transactions, public company reporting and compliance, mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, investments and investor relations, as well as general corporate matters. She serves on several firm committees, including the Women’s Leadership Committee.
