Health care partner Matt Amodeo was quoted in a BenefitsPro article titled, “Grading ACOs: Report Card Time – We’ve learned a lot about ACOs – do they pass or fail?” The article discusses whether ACOs have been beneficial in saving money while raising the quality of health care.

In the article, Matt notes that “once the government or commercial payers have wrung the savings from the system and picked the low-hanging fruit, what then?”

He added, “they’re just going to squeeze provider reimbursement rates even lower. Providers see the writing on the wall, which is why they’re trying to become their own insurance companies.”
