Chicago partner Ken Dort was quoted in a Modern Healthcare article titled, “Blues plans will offer free, perpetual credit and fraud protection.” The article discussed Blue Cross and Blue Shield’s new plans offering free and continuous credit monitoring and fraud protection services to all members. These plans have been created in response to the massive cyber-attacks that exposed personal information of millions of their customers.
Ken says that this level of continuous protection will likely become the new health care norm, since the industry has experienced over one thousand data breaches and has exposed the health records of millions of individuals. “This could be the first of a snowball rolling downhill,” he said.
