Washington, D.C. of counsel Jason R. Baron was quoted in the above media outlets regarding statements made by Hillary Clinton in a recent CNN interview regarding her use of email on a personal server while serving as Secretary of State.  He also commented on a recent State Department questionnaire where the agency gave itself high marks in its recordkeeping practices.

With respect to her CNN interview, Jason said Ms. Clinton did in fact have an obligation to turn over her email records relating to government business no later than when she left public service, and that in acting to fulfill her legal duties she did not go “above and beyond” what was expected of her.

In the Federal Computer Week article, Jason discussed the apparent failure of State Department personnel to notice and take any action with respect to email documents with a non-dot.gov email address, either while conducting document reviews or otherwise.
