Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP announced today that Matthew R. Silver has joined the firm as counsel in the Investment Management Practice Group, based in Philadelphia.
Silver assists clients with broker-dealer and investment adviser regulations, as well as other aspects of their businesses. He also has significant experience with commodity trading advisors, hedge funds, alternative investment vehicles and the regulation of derivatives.
“Matthew brings highly specialized legal experience to clients facing increasing regulation,” said Joshua B. Deringer, a partner of the firm and Chair of the nationally ranked Investment Management Practice Group. “Matthew has broad investment management experience, particularly in the broker-dealer and investment adviser spheres. His capabilities will be of tremendous value to our clients and to the firm.”
Silver earned his law degree from New York University School of Law, where he was the Senior Development Editor of the Annual Survey of American Law. He earned his B.A., cum laude, from New York University College of Arts and Science. He joins the firm from Pepper Hamilton LLP.
