The District Policy Group welcomes three federal policy and government relations professionals to the firm. The additions are the latest installment of what has been a year of growth and expansion for the group. The three new professionals, Kara R. Gainer, Jerrica Mathis and Sarah Williams Savoy, bring the number of professionals at District Policy Group to 15, all of whom reside in the firm’s D.C. offices.

Kara, Senior Research & Policy Analyst, comes to the District Policy Group after serving in the United States Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Medicare Hearings and Appeals.

Jerrica, Senior Government Relations Manager, joins the District Policy Group after serving as Project Director at the Society for Public Health Education. She previously worked at the U.S. House of Representatives – both as a Congressional Black Caucus Foundation Health Policy Fellow for the Committee on Education and Labor and in the office of Representative Donna L. Christensen.

Sarah brings to the District Policy Group experience as a policy analyst on issues ranging from nuclear energy and radiological security to national security overall – stemming from service with the Partnership for Global Security.

“Starting with our rebranding in January and the creation of our Advisory Board in July, this has been an exciting year for the District Policy Group and the addition of these specialized and highly knowledgeable professionals to our growing staff serves as a terrific capstone to 2014,” said Ilisa Halpern Paul, President. “With Kara, Jerrica, and Sarah now on our roster we offer clients an even deeper bench of talent and experience to support our expanding portfolio of lobbying, regulatory, grassroots, social media, and policy analysis work,” Paul concluded.
