The individuals selected by the New Jersey Law Journal’s editorial staff, after a rigorous evaluation process, represent a new wave of leadership in the New Jersey legal community.  They have already built accomplished careers and, despite their youth, have established themselves as leaders within their firms and organizations, as well as within the larger legal community.”  The criteria for selection are the attorneys “have developed practice niches, amassed strong books of business, demonstrated leadership qualities, shown expertise in litigation or transactional work and committed themselves to pro-bono, charitable and professional volunteer work.”

Mike’s litigation practice encompasses products liability, drug and medical device, class action, complex commercial, intellectual property, mass tort, and multidistrict proceedings throughout the United States.  He is an elected trustee of the Trial Attorneys of New Jersey, and an elected member of the International Association of Defense Counsel and the Trial Attorneys of America.  He has served as an instructor at the National Trial Advocacy College at the University of Virginia School of Law and a Master in the Brennan-Vanderbilt Inn of Court.  He is co-chair of the ABA’s Drug and Medical Device Subcommittee of the Mass Tort Committee, and he was appointed to the New Jersey Supreme Court's District V Ethics Committee for Essex County. 

Mike joined the firm in September 2003, and he was named a partner in February 2011.  He is a graduate of William and Mary School of Law, where he was Editor-in-Chief of the William and Mary Environmental Law and Policy Review.
