Throughout his distinguished legal career, Gordon has demonstrated unparalleled excellence in lawyering and trial advocacy, an unwavering service and dedication in the representation of clients, and worked tirelessly to improve our justice system and advance the legal profession.

Gordon exemplifies Justice Stevens’ commitment to integrity and public service in the practice of law, Gordon along with the other 2014 recipients of the Justice John Paul Stevens Award will be honored at a luncheon ceremony to be held at the Standard Club on Thursday, September 18th, 2014. Justice Stevens will be the keynote speaker at that event.

Gordon is Of Counsel and a member of the firm's Commercial Litigation practice group. He has served as president of the Chicago Bar Association, president of the Chicago Inn of Court, chair of the Constitutional Rights Foundation, member of the Illinois Supreme Court Commission on Professionalism, vice chair of the Civil Justice Reform Act Advisory Groups of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois and on many other civic and charitable boards and committees. He has also taught trial advocacy at John Marshall Law School and lectured and written for the Illinois Institute of Continuing Legal Education.
