About the Authors

Gerald S. Hartman is a partner in the Labor & Employment Practice Group. Jerry concentrates his work on equal employment law and class action litigation representing management. His practice includes matters before the federal trial and appellate courts, EEOC and OFCCP. Over the years, he has represented many major American corporations in class action and governmental pattern and practice discrimination cases involving statistical proof and testing. He represented successfully a major telecommunications company in one of the largest Title VII class actions ever brought. He successfully defeated two class actions brought against a major retailer, one at its headquarters and the other for all its stores. He regularly defends all types of employment discrimination claims including sexual harassment and retaliation.

Gregory W. Homer is a partner in the Labor & Employment Practice Group. Gregory has worked extensively with experts in statistics and labor economics in the preparation and execution of defense strategies and case analyses in complex class action and multi-plaintiff employment litigation, including several nationwide class actions. In addition to defending numerous individual discrimination and employment tort actions in state and federal courts, Gregory has both defended and prosecuted breach of contract claims, particularly in the context of injunction proceedings and enforcement of covenants not to compete.
