Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP announced today that Jonathan Graber has joined the firm as a partner in the Chicago office and as a member of the firm’s Private Client Group. Graber, a former partner of Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP, has an established trusts and estates practice representing high net worth individuals and families such as business owners, family offices, politicians, executives, private equity professionals and real estate developers.
“Jonathan’s approach and philosophy on providing comprehensive and customized trusts and estates counsel is consistent with the high level of service that Drinker Biddle clients expect,” said Lisa Presser, a managing partner of the firm and the Chair of the Private Client Group. “His level of skill and first class advice will be an advantage to our clients not just in Chicago but across the firm. Jonathan will be a great addition to the group.”
Graber is lauded by clients for not taking a one-size fits all approach to situations. His ability to design individualized plans that may include cross border and international strategies is valuable to his clients and to the firm. Graber also receives high marks for working collaboratively with clients’ accountants and other financial advisors to ensure proper implementation of clients’ estate plans. He also provides direction on philanthropic objectives, including helping clients determine which charitable structure will best accomplish their objectives.
“Jonathan constitutes yet another success in our plan to grow the Chicago office, which is an important market for the firm,” says Alfred W. Putnam, Jr., Chairman of Drinker Biddle. “We have had a number of recent lateral additions in that office, and bringing on another highly talented mid-career partner like Jonathan keeps that momentum going.”
A graduate of Loyola Law School and Western Michigan University, Mr. Graber is admitted to practice in Illinois and New York. He is on the Advisory Committee of Chicago’s Museum of Science and Industry.
