Please join us in extending a warm welcome to new partners Ashley Pezzner and Gregory Stanton. Both Ashley and Gregory join our Intellectual Property team. Ashley will practice out of our Wilmington office while Gregory will be based in our Chicago office.

Ashley's pioneering work in complex patent prosecution for Fortune 100 clients brings additional strength to our already distinguished intellectual property practice nationwide. Ashley is joined at Drinker by his team from Novak Druce, which includes Counsel Hui-Ju Wu, Ph.D. and Geoffrey Zelley; Of Counsel Hal Pezzner; and Associates Daniel Rube, Ph.D., Claudia Schultze, Ph.D., and Larry Williams, Ph.D.

Ashley holds a B.S. with a major in Chemical Engineering from the University of South Carolina, an M.A.S. from Johns Hopkins University and a J.D. from the University of Baltimore School of Law. He is admitted before the USPTO, the U.S. District Court of Delaware and the State Courts of Delaware and Maryland. Before becoming a lawyer, he was a chemical patent examiner with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) where he worked in the inorganic, organic and polymer fields of the agency.

Gregory’s considerable experience in electronics and software technologies includes wireless communication technologies such as CDMA and OFDM, networking technologies, signal and image processing systems, control systems, analog and digital circuits, natural language processing, green technologies as well as medical systems and devices. He also regularly counsels clients regarding patent validity, infringement and licensing issues and represents clients in patent infringement litigation.

Gregory obtained a B.S. degree, with highest honors, and an M.S. degree, focused on signal processing, image processing and communications, in electrical engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. His J.D. is from Northwestern University School of Law. Prior to law school, he worked as an engineer designing analog circuits, digital circuits, and software, for wireless communications systems and televisions.
