David Sudzus, vice-chair of the Products Liability & Mass Tort Practice Group and a partner in our Chicago office, was recently elected to serve on the Board of Directors for the Public Interest Law Initiative (PILI).

Drinker Biddle has a long history of involvement with PILI and Dave will be filling a position previously held by partner Mark Furlane, who served on the PILI Board for five years.

“PILI wholeheartedly welcomes Dave and thanks Mark for his many years of service,” PILI said in a press release issued February 5.

PILI's mission is to cultivate a lifelong commitment to public interest law and pro bono service within the Illinois legal community to expand the availability of legal services for people, families and communities in need.

In addition to his work within the firm’s Products Liability practice, Dave is a charter member of the firm’s Electronic Discovery and Data Management Committee. He also is active in pro bono matters, handling cases involving commercial disputes, alleged civil rights violations and other issues. He serves on the firm’s national pro bono committee and is co-chair of the pro bono committee for the firm’s Chicago office.
