Washington, D.C. of counsel Janet Fries attended and presented at the recent Washington, D.C. Independent Film Festival on February 18. Janet was on a panel with two other attorneys and presented a program titled, “Entertainment Law 101: Intellectual Property and Beyond,” which discussed issues including copyright, trademark, fair use and licensing.

The festival is the oldest independent film festival in Washington, D.C., and exhibits world premiere screenings, hosts timely seminars and workshops, and sponsors interactive discussions with the United States Congress.
