Overview

Florham Park partner Lynne Anderson spoke at Seton Hall Law’s U.S. Healthcare Compliance Certification Program on October 27.

The event offered a comprehensive overview of state, federal and international law governing prescription drugs, medical devices and health care fraud. Topics included privacy and data protection, FDA approval and regulation, anti-kickback laws, health care fraud sentencing, the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and the False Claims Act, among others. Attendees included representatives from pharmaceutical and life sciences companies, as well as hospitals.

Lynne participated in a panel titled, “Being the Focus of a Government Investigation” which provided the perspective of dealing with an employee whistleblower. Joining her on the panel were Mike Doyle of the Federal Bureau of Investigation; Jacob Elberg, Chief of the Health Care and Government Fraud Unit of the U.S. Attorney’s Office, District of New Jersey; Maureen Ruane of Lowenstein Sandler P.C.; and Jim Sheehan of the Office of the New York Attorney General. Professor Timothy Glynn of Seton Hall Law School moderated.
