Philadelphia associate Vishal Shah participated on a panel discussion, "Positional Conflicts and the Ethical Issues," during the DRI Appellate Advocacy Seminar in Phoenix, Arizona.  The panel presented several case studies to highlight potential pitfalls that practitioners may face when arguing appeals on behalf of different clients.  Specifically, the panel focused on potential ethical issues that exist when an attorney makes contrary arguments or seeks inconsistent results on behalf of two separate clients and ways to avoid those ethical dilemmas for both former and current clients.
