Michael R. Halsband in our New York office, was a panelist at one of the sessions that focused on legal and transaction analyses, efficiencies and efficacies. The conference was held Feb. 23-24, 2016 at the Grand Hyatt in New York City.

Michael has more than 25 years’ leadership experience in insurance, reinsurance and the capital markets. Before joining Drinker Biddle, he was the founding senior executive and President of the ILS convergence initiative at White Mountain’s Sirius Group. There he led the development, design and launch of their convergence strategy and institutional cat platform. Before Sirius, he was at Goldman Sachs and Deutsche Bank, involved in some of the earliest and most innovative ILS transactions. His transactional work is focused on complex structured reinsurance transactions, insurance-linked securities (ILS), sidecar and cat convergence fund formation and management, and distressed portfolio run-off administration and strategies.
