Chicago partner Jesse Ruiz delivered a speech on “Effective Leadership Under Fire” at the Chicago/Midwest Chapter of the Turnaround Management Association.

Jesse discussed his time as the interim CEO of Chicago Public Schools, where he oversaw the third largest school district in the nation.  Jesse discussed the challenges he faced, including budget shortfalls and the difficulty of managing a school district with approximately 400,000 students, 38,000 employees, and a budget of almost $6 billion.
