Washington, D.C., counsel Jason R. Baron served as the moderator for the UBIC seminar, “Crossing the Pacific: Conducting Legal business in Japan and the Rest of Asia,” on Friday, April 25, at the Yale Club in Manhattan.

The panel discussion, titled, “Information Governance as a Global Priority: Some Thoughts Based on Recent U.S. eDiscovery Case Law & Practice,” tackled questions such as what constitutes defensible data policies for U.S. and Asian corporations doing business across borders? And, what new developments in U.S. eDiscovery practice involving the use of sophisticated analytical tools and techniques might have value when thinking about information governance from a global, corporate perspective?
