New York partner Tom Dawson participated on a panel at ACI’s National Forum on Insurance Regulation on Friday, February 28th. The panel addressed two Federal insurance programs: the TRIA terrorism insurance backstop that expires on December 31, 2014, and the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP).

Tom reviewed the current NFIP as it was reauthorized in 2012 and also reviewed the bills pending in Congress that would roll back some of the rate increases imposed by Congress in 2012 in an effort to reduce the NFIP’s deficit,  currently $24 billion.  Tom also acknowledged Jodie Curtis’ continuing assistance in tracking House and Senate legislative activity.
