For Good and For Profit: Which For-Profit Business Form Is Right for You?

Overview

On October 26, 2013, corporate associates Elizabeth K. Babson and Matthew J. Brinker served on a panel as part of a break-out session entitled “For Good and For Profit: Which For-Profit Business Form Is Right for You?” at the 2013 Social Venture Institute of the Sustainable Business Network in Philadelphia.

Lizzie and Matt discussed the benefit corporation legal form and other entity selection issues for triple-bottom-line businesses and fielded questions from participants and co-panelist Hardik Savalia of B Lab (a pro bono client of the firm).  Participants in the seminar ranged from business students to sustainable entrepreneurs to established business owners looking to formalize their sustainable mission into their corporate structure.
