Washington, D.C., Partner Mike Remington recently spoke at the 2013 Korea-US IP Judicial Conference in Seoul, Korea. The conference attracted 800 attendees, including judges from China and Vietnam, and was held to explore how the Korean and U.S. judicial systems impact the Korea-US Free Trade Agreement, which went into effect March 15, 2012

Mike served as a presenter in the “Different Ways of Protecting Products” seminar, and presented on copyright, design, trade dress and unfair competition issues. In his presentation, Mike noted that each of the four subjects play an important role in products being marketed and sold on the global stage and that Korea and the U.S. should be aided in addressing issues related to these subject areas on account of the trade agreement and a mutual respect for the law.
