Jeremy Scott, Government Relations Director from Drinker Biddle’s Lobbying and Advocacy Team, spoke at the Association of Rehabilitation Nurses’ (ARN) Annual Conference during a session on the role of Health Policy Leaders on Wednesday, October 2, 2013 and Thursday, October 3, 2013.
Jeremy’s presentation discussed the relationship between healthcare providers and policy makers, and emphasized the importance of taking a consistent and active role in the development of legislation. He suggested that this can be successfully achieved by way of participation in interest-based organizations like ARN, which maintains a regular focus on advocacy.
ARN's mission is to promote and advance professional rehabilitation nursing practice through education, advocacy, collaboration, and research to enhance the quality of life for those affected by disability and chronic illness. For more information, see http://www.rehabnurse.org/.
