Washington, D.C. partner Paul Moorehead will lead discussions on a panel entitled “The 113th Congress Thus Far – Legislative and Policy Update,” on August 21-22 at the Southern Ute Indian Tribe’s Reservation in Ignacio, CO. 

In addition to the “Native American Energy Act” (H.R.1548) and the “Indian Trust Asset Reform Act” (S.165, H.R.409), panel topics will include the Bureau of Land Management’s proposed rule “Oil and Gas: Hydraulic Fracturing on Federal and Indian Lands,” and the status of the fiscal year appropriations measures for the Interior and Energy Departments.
