Washington, D.C., partner Jonathan Tarnow spoke at the California Association of Private Postsecondary Schools (CAPPS) 2012 Legislative Policy Conference in Sacramento, Calif., on Monday, April 18.

CAPPS is a California State Association that represents the many diverse kinds of Private Postsecondary Schools in California, including for-profit, non-profit, religious exempt and approved only institutions.

Jonathan participated, along with two other Washington, D.C., education law and policy professionals, on a panel titled, “Federal Update: Congressional and Regulatory Expectations 2013.” The discussion covered regulatory activities of concern to private colleges and universities by the U.S. Department of Education, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, as well as federal budget and policy matters impacting postsecondary education.
