On Tuesday, March 5, 2013, Jeremy Scott, Government Relations Director in Drinker Biddle’s Lobbying and Advocacy Team, gave a presentation at the American Diabetes Association’s Call to Congress lobbying day in Washington, D.C.

Jeremy’s presentation included advocacy training and an update on the current political and legislative climate in Washington. There were over 200 advocates from around the country in attendance.

The American Diabetes Association, a client of the Lobbying and Advocacy team, is the premier organization leading the fight for research to prevent, cure, and manage diabetes; improve access to health care; and eliminate discrimination against people with diabetes at school, work, and elsewhere. The Call to Congress event provides diabetes advocates with the opportunity to meet with their Members of Congress to request that they fund diabetes research and prevention efforts.
