Washington, D.C., Managing Government Relations Director Ilisa Halpern Paul spoke at the Inaugural Insurance Regulation Forum in New York City on Wednesday, Feb. 27.

Ilisa spoke as a panelist in a discussion of “Federal initiatives and Evolving Global Policies.”

The panel discussed news of key federal initiatives, including an update from FIO, gave a review of global insurance initiatives, and provided a trade update, including the equivalence dialogue.

The firm sponsored the forum, which drew delegates from Bermuda, Europe and the US.  The event featured panels addressing the insurance regulatory implications of Superstorm Sandy, Federal regulatory issues, reinsurance regulatory initiatives, solvency modernization in the US, national and international debate about systemic risk, among other topics.
