San Francisco Managing Partner Steven Selna spoke at the ABA Women in Products Liability Law Annual CLE workshop on November 15.

The event, attended by more than 100 lawyers from around the country, was held this year at K&L Gates in Boston. The various panels discussed changes to removal and remand procedures for civil actions; amendments to rule 26 expert disclosure requirements; jury selection; changes to professional conduct rules; and related topics.

Steve's panel topic was “New Trends in Class Action”. Steve addressed how to utilize (and circumvent) class action rules; the courts' recent treatment of certification, including Art III standing and Rule 23 requirements; arbitration agreements after Concepcion; class actions against food manufacturers; damages issues in class actions; and related topics.
