Philadelphia associate Paula M. Jones spoke at the Philanthropic Planning Group of Greater New York (PPGGNY) on Wednesday, Feb. 15, in New York City.

The PPGGNY is a professional association consisting of professionals in development offices of major nonprofit organizations, as well as professionals, such as attorneys, accountants, who work with high net worth individuals as potential donors. 

Paula’s presentation was titled, “Charitable Giving with the Multinational Donor.” It presentation profiled the growing number of high-net-worth individuals who are "multinational" i.e., have some connection (assets, income, beneficiaries or immigration status) that is non-U.S.

Paula also discussed the difference in income, estate and gift tax laws among U.S. citizens, U.S. residents, non-resident aliens and former U.S. citizens and residents, and issues specific to charitable giving with these unique individuals.
