Brian Altman, Senior Government Relations Manager in the Washington, D.C., office, participated in the 2011 Congenital Heart Lobby Day on March 10, 2011, in Washington D.C.   The Lobby Day is a coalition effort that includes Drinker Biddle & Reath client the Adult Congenital Heart Association (ACHA).  ACHA, a Philadelphia-based non-profit health care organization, is dedicated to improving the quality of life and extending the lives of adults with congenital heart defects (CHD).

Brian, a member of the Government Relations & Regulatory Affairs Practice Group’s Health Team, provided public policy updates and assisted with advocacy training during a webinar and in-person session.  The Congenital Heart Lobby Day brought a group of patients, parents and providers to Capitol Hill to meet with their elected officials to seek funding for data collection efforts relating to individuals living with CHD across the lifespan.
