Helen E. Tuttle is a partner in the Labor & Employment Practice Group. She joined the firm from Kirkpatrick & Lockhart Nicholson Graham in Newark, N.J.
Labor and Employment Practice. Helen’s practice includes employment counseling and employment litigation. In terms of employment counseling, Helen regularly counsels clients through various issues such as obligations under federal and state laws, disciplinary actions, terminations, reorganizations, and reductions in workforce. She also frequently reviews company policies and conducts training sessions on effectively managing employees. In terms of employment litigation matters, Helen defends employers in federal and state courts and administrative agencies, focusing on, among other areas, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, hiring, compensation, promotion, and wrongful termination claims.
In General. Helen writes frequently about various labor and employment issues. In recent years, Helen has highlighted the impact of employee blogging in the workplace. Her most recent article appeared in
New Jersey Business ("Protecting Employers from Negative Employee Blogs", 2007) and she was interviewed by
The National Law Journal (12/10/08) and
NJBiz (12/15/08) on the topic of employee blogging. Helen has also been published in
The New Jersey Lawyer Magazine (“What to do When Employees Return From Active Duty”, 2007),

Affiliations. Helen is admitted to the New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania State Bars. In addition, she is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court of New Jersey, the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, and the four U.S. District Courts of New York (Northern, Southern, Eastern, and Western).
