Howard A. Cohen is a partner in the firm's Corporate Restructuring Practice Group. Howard has extensive experience in major corporate restructurings and Chapter 11 cases in Delaware as well as other jurisdictions. His clients benefit from his wide-ranging industry experience representing public and non-public debtor corporations, debtor-in-possession lenders, secured and unsecured creditors, vendors and asset purchasers in bankruptcy and other corporate restructuring matters. Recently, Howard has been involved in the representation of creditors’ committees in the bankruptcy cases of Advanta Corp., Magnachip Semiconductor Finance Company and PNG Ventures, Inc.. Howard’s debtor representations have included American Safety Razor Company, LLC and Jones Stephens Corp. On the creditor side, Howard has represented clients in cases such as Spansion, Inc., Premier International Holdings Inc. (Six Flags), National Envelope Corporation and Nortel Networks. Additionally, Howard acts as counsel for both plaintiffs and defendants in various bankruptcy related litigation matters, including preference, fraudulent transfer and turnover actions.

Howard received his bachelor's degree in accounting from Florida State University in 1996, and his J.D. degree from Duke University School of Law in 1999. He is admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of Delaware, the Supreme Court of Florida, the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware, and the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida.
