George H. Kendall is a partner and vice chair of the Healthcare Practice Group. He has represented a broad range of health care clients, including hospitals and hospital systems, home health agencies, physician groups, pharmaceutical, medical device and medical equipment companies for over 24 years. He has extensive experience in the areas of governance and compliance, tax exemption, managed care, reimbursement, physician contracting and medical staff matters.
George has advised numerous health care companies with respect to mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and restructurings. He also has counseled clients regarding structuring joint ventures in accordance with state and federal self-referral laws, tax laws and other applicable statutes and regulations. George has represented many providers in connection with governmental and internal investigations, including fraud and abuse, EMTALA, licensure and other matters.
George is a frequent speaker on health law and business issues, including governance and compliance, managed care, physician-hospital joint ventures, fraud and abuse and many other topics. He has made presentations to the New Jersey Hospital Association, the Healthcare Financial Management Association, the American Health Lawyers Association, the New Jersey State Bar Association, hospital boards and medical staffs and many other groups. He has also written on health law topics, including defending governmental investigations, managed care, and fraud and abuse. George serves as a member of the Advisory Board for Seton Hall Law School's Health Law Program.
George has been recognized by

2009 as one of the top health care lawyers in New Jersey.
