Associate
Gregory R. Grace is an associate in the firm's Intellectual Property Practice Group, where he focuses his practice on prosecution and litigation in the electrical area. He has extensive experience drafting and prosecuting patent applications related to software, business methods, financial services, computer architecture, compression, electrical circuits, and many other areas including the mechanical arts. Greg has experience with international patent prosecution including European and Chinese patent prosecution. He enjoys working with in-house attorneys, with small companies, and with individual inventors.
In General. Greg earned his J.D. from George Washington University Law School, where he was awarded the Chris Batok Award for Excellence in Patent Law. He received his master's degree in computer science from Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta and his bachelor's degree, also in computer science from George Mason University where he was a Dean's List honoree. Prior to entering the legal profession, Greg worked as a venture capitalist, where he performed many functions for start-up companies including serving on the board of directors and taking executive positions. Prior to this, Greg was a product manager for a mobile communications division in Munich, Germany. He also worked as a software engineer, where he was involved in building many software projects. Greg also served as the Director of Academic Computing for Marymount University, where he was also an adjunct professor of computer science.
