Cynthia Irani (formerly Cynthia Park) is an associate in the firm's Government & Regulatory Affairs Practice Group. Cindy focuses her practice on government contracts and political law, representing government contractors, bidders and agencies, as well as advising clients on government procurement regulations, laws and policies at the local, state and federal levels.
Cindy has extensive experience interpreting, negotiating and drafting government contracts, subcontracts, joint venture agreements and teaming agreements, and advises clients on government contract compliance, ethics requirements and policies. She also consults with bidders/proposers to identify prospective bidding opportunities and business development resources.
Cindy has handled a variety of matters regarding the certification and participation of disadvantaged women and minority business enterprises (D/W/MBEs) in the government contracting process. She has assisted clients in preparing D/W/MBEs certification applications, assessing certification eligibility and drafting appeals of certification eligibility decisions.
Cindy counsels clients on compliance with campaign finance, lobbying and ethics laws at the federal, state and local levels. She advises clients on campaign finance laws and regulations at all levels of government, including corporate and PAC compliance, lobbying disclosure and governmental ethics statutes and rules, and implementing internal compliance and training programs to ensure adherence to campaign finance, lobbying and ethics laws and rules.
In General. Cindy earned her J.D. from Indiana University School of Law in Bloomington in 2006, where she was notes editor for the
Federal Communications Law Journal and treasurer of the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association. She received her bachelor’s degree, with honors, in political science and psychology from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.
